The Shop at Old Austerlitz

It has been a while since I've posted, and it has been a very busy summer so far. One of the projects I have been working on is The Shop at Old Austerlitz for the Austerlitz Historical Society . The Society operates a beautiful property in Columbia County, New York and this is the first actual shop they have opened on the property. So I thought I'd give you a tour, and an example of what can be done with very little money, some good volunteers, and a bit of creativity.

EASTER Ideas

This Sunday is Easter Sunday the most important day of the Christian calendar. If so inclined, I think it's important to take the time to acknowledge the holiday in the home. This holiday, in particular, is easy to celebrate; a dozen eggs, a few greens and flowers, or even a couple of twigs tied to form a cross. Here are some ideas that I've collected over the years to inspire you.

HAPPY EASTER.

  1. Loved these colorful displays....favorites, however, were the white eggs: in green nests, with flower painted on the side, and with white feather ears. Tulips in cabbage vase was great, too. -- R.
